Among the islands in Angra dos Reis, in Rio de Janeiro, Cataguás (or Cataguases) is the one that is closest to the continent, so it often becomes the most touristy island. To access it, you must go by boat or while closing a boat or schooner ride. The island is only 10 minutes from the city center, and is one of the common stops offered by the tour agencies.

Lunch break point for the agencies that make trips to the islands of Angra, Praia do Japariz is almost always visited by tourists who are on board boats and schooners. The place offers seaside restaurants, with a varied menu and plenty of seafood options. In the shade of the almond trees, you can kill the hunger after a day of walking and still enjoy the look of the sea.
