Wat Phra Ram, a historic temple in Ayutthaya, is located near the Grand Palace. Built in 1369 by King Ramesuan, it stands on the site where his father, King U-Thong, the city's founder, was cremated. The temple boasts a notable prang and numerous smaller chedis, enveloped by tranquil water gardens, highlighting the significance of water in Thai culture.
In Ayutthaya, Wat Ratchaburana is an old temple made in 1424 by King Borommarachathirat II. He built it to remember his two brothers who fought for the throne and died. The temple's main tower is fancy with nice stucco decorations. Underneath it, there's a room called a crypt that used to hold treasures and cool stuff. Nowadays, you can see some of these in the Chao Sam Phraya Museum.
