Crystal Cave is one of the largest cave systems in Belize. It is located in the Blue Hole National Park and is known as the Mountain Cow Cave managed by the Belize Audubon Society. Your trips commence at 7am with a 1.5-hour scenic view drive from San Ignacio to the Blue Hole National Park. The National Park consists of natural wonders and caves with ancient Mayan fragments ready to be explore. When entering the Crystal Cave, you will be captivated by its sparkling formation, beautiful stalactites and stalagmites. Before venturing, guests will relish a hearty Belizean Cuisine then proceed with the tour. Be sure to listen to the techniques given by your guide to make your tour easier and more fun and keep a watch for the scattered array of cultural and sacrificial human remains. You end your day with a dip in the cool waters of the inland Blue Hole.

We do pick ups from hotels with in the town limits of Santa Elena and San Ignacio. Additional fee is charge for hotel pick ups not with in the Twin Towns.

29 Burns Avenue San Ignacio, Cayo Please wait at the receptionist area of the office. We can also pickup travellers at their hotels or the airport. To be picked up at the airport it's an additional cost for transportation. Also, for hotels not within town limits it's an additional cost as well.

What to expect

If you’re an adventure seeker who enjoy a physical challenge then the Crystal Cave tour is for you. The tour consists of a 50-minute hike into the lush tropical forest and 5 yards repelling into the cave. During the cave exploration you witness crystalline formations, ancient Mayan artifacts and the skeletal remains of sacrificial victims. At the end of the tour you get to enjoy the inland Blue Hole which is a 5-minute drive from the Blue Hole National Park before heading back to your hotel.
