Collection from Port Elizabeth Airport every Sunday at 15:00 Arrival at Sibuya Game Reserve Travellers settle into their accommodation at "Intaka Bird Lodge" nestled on the boundary of Sibuya Game Reserve. This will be our base while traversing Sibuya Game Reserve on a daily basis. After long air travel this is the ideal place to surround yourself in tranquility. Once travelers are settled in, a fine dinner is presented as well as sundowner drinks overlooking the game reserve. All preparations are made for the following day.
- Welcome presentation - Elephant conservation presentation - Elephant monitoring We spend the day learning about African elephants and their role in the ecosystem as well as the challenges they face on earth. We set out to correctly identify each elephant on Sibuya Game Reserve as well as monitor their individual personalities.
- Rhino Conservation Presentation - Rhino Monitoring - Safari We spend the day learning about white rhino and their role in the ecosystem as well as the challenges they face on earth. We set out to correctly identify each rhino on Sibuya Game Reserve as well as take part in anti-poaching activities
- Fence Management - Alien Vegetation Eradication Correct fencing has a vital role in wildlife conservation by protecting humans from potential danger and at the same time protecting conservation areas from human impact Many conservation areas take ongoing action by removing alien plant species that thrive in their conditions. These species are generally unpalatable for animals and outgrow indigenous species.
- Birding Conservation - Red-Billed Oxpecker Project We correctly identify and differentiate between oceanic, estuarine, arboreal and terrestrial birds. Travelers will also take part in or Red-Billed Oxpecker Project.
- Kariega Beach - Kariega River - Communities Travelers may take part in our outreach project day in Kenton on Sea which includes, blankets and beanies for Madiba, stand in teachers, beach cleanups, dog food distribution, retirement homes and many more
The first Saturday and Sunday of our itinerary is a leisure weekend which allows you to travel and do a bit of sight seeing in the area at your own expense. However, you could spend the time just relaxing taking in the tranquility at our home base, Intaka Bird Lodge.

- Lion Conservation Presentation - Lion Monitoring - Buffalo Darting and Management Travelers will take part in a power point presentation and open discussion troubleshooting the loss of prey species, loss of habitat, lion bone trade and human encroachment, all contributing to the possible extinction of Africa's apex predator.
20 Kilometre Hike / 12,5 Miles - Woody Cape, Greater Addo Elephant National Park - Alexandria Dune Fields - Coastal Conservation First day of our two day hike along the Alexandria Dune Fields which are the highest coastal wind driven sand dunes in the Southern Hemisphere. Travelers will spend time learning about the living and non living of the coastal marine environment as well as the history which molded the area to what it is today.
16 Kilometer Hike / 10 Mile Hike - Woody Cape, Greater Addo Elephant National Park - Alexandria Dune Fields - Coastal Conservation Second day of our two day hike along the Alexandria Dune Fields which are the highest coastal wind driven sand dunes in the Southern Hemisphere. Travelers will spend time learning about the living and non living of the coastal marine environment as well as the history which molded the area to what it is today.
- Boat Cruise Along Kariega River - Oceanic Fish Tagging Institute Project Travelers will go on a boat cruise and partake in fish tagging projects. Each traveler will briefed on how to correctly catch, tag and record information and release estuarine fish species. Our findings will be loaded onto the ORI international data base.
- Addo Elephant National Park - Colchester Travelers will visit the South Africa's flagship game reserve by spending the day in Addo Elephant National Park. Addo houses the densest population of African Elephant per square kilometer in the world and holds a mammoth section of conservation history for our area.
- Group Project Presentation - Graduation Ceremony - Leisure Time - Certificates Travelers get the chance to show us what the have learned during their stay with us. Group projects and posters are always a welcoming gift to create ambience for our presentation room.
- Team Breakfast - Airport Transfer Travelers will be transferred to Port Elizabeth Airport from Intaka Lodge at 09:00 every Sunday morning.
