12 years of experience in Japanese calligraphy, qualified as a calligraphy instructor. Come and get an opportunity to enjoy Kanji drawing with me! You can experience Japanese culture by learning and drawing a Kanji on a T-shirt. Each kanji has a meaning that you are welcome to study.
i also offer the possibility of choosing between a single class drawing Japanese on t-shirt, or to choose the drawing kanji on a lantern, or, on the Japanese traditional umbrellas, all are very attractive and fun experience for everyone. I offer something that is a unique experience. I am an English teacher for the Japanese people, so you will get all the instructions in English.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
The meeting point is in front of the Tokyo Sky Tree , 2-19-4 apartment 203 (second floor) Narhira Sumida Ku Tokyo, just next to the Oyster restaurant .
What to expect
Guests begin by selecting a T-shirt in either black or white, available in sizes ranging from Women’s M and L to Men’s XXXL. Next, choose a kanji character from our curated menu along with your favorite ink color from our wide selection.
Using a soft chalk pencil, you’ll sketch the chosen kanji onto your T-shirt. Upon request, a sample of your selected kanji can be drawn in front of you by our instructor for guidance—and you’re welcome to take the sample home. Once you’re satisfied with your sketch, and after a few personalized tips from your instructor, you’ll proceed to paint the kanji using the ink color you selected.
To finish, you’ll gently remove any excess ink using absorbent sheets. Then, you may either wear your custom T-shirt or take it home neatly folded in a plastic bag.
We also offer this activity on traditional lanterns, following the same procedure. Whether on fabric or paper, you’ll walk away with a handcrafted souvenir made by you—an artistic memory from your time in Japan.
Each session lasts approximately one hour, just your imagination and a sense of fun, which just what it is !
