Most of the reserve remains set aside for game hunting through a number of privately leased hunting concessions, but a section of the northern park along the Rufiji River has been designated a photographic zone and is a popular tourist destination. There are several high end lodges and camps mainly situated along the river and lake systems in this area. Rather difficult road access means most visitors arrive by small aircraft from Dar es Salaam, though train access is also possible.

1Selous Game Reserve
Pick up at your resort around 06:30 hrs,Depart in Zanzibar at 0800hours.Dar es salaam at 0830hours by flight it will take just 45min to an Airstrip in Selous Game Reserve. (Mtemere, Siwandu, Matambwe) Pick up at any of the mentioned Airstrip depending on your Accommodation and proceed with the game drive en route to your camp or lodge arrive for lunch; relax till late in the afternoon. Then you will do short game drive there after dinner and overnight at your Camp or Lodge

2Selous Game Reserve
After breakfast, Morning Game drive in to the Selous Game Reserve: large numbers of elephants, black rhinos, cheetahs, giraffes, hippos and crocodiles live in this immense sanctuary, which measures 50,000 sq. km, practically undisturbed by human impact. The park has a variety of vegetation zones, ranging from dense thickets to open wooded grasslands, picnic lunch, dinner and overnight.

3Selous Game Reserve
After breakfast boat drive along Rufiji River or Walking safari with armed ranger there after early lunch and then transfers to Airstrip (Mtemere, Siwandu, and Matambwe) for your flight at 1315Hours to Zanzibar
