If you want to get picked up from Chingis Khan International Airport, there will be an extra fee of 30 USD per vehicle to be paid on your arrival.     Tsagaan Suvarga (White Stupa)

    We will drive 383km to Tsagaan Suvarga (White Stupa), the great canyon that appears like ancient cities and places in the beauty of the great Gobi Desert. The cliff is 30 m high and 100 m wide. Over thousands of years the wind has created this amazing structure. The unique natural formation of colorful, massive mud cliffs looks like stupas. Hiking through the cliffs and take nice photos.

    Yolyn Am (Vulture’s Mouth) valley

    Yolyn Am

    We'll drive around 270km to Yolyn Am Valley. It’s part of the majestic Gobi Gurvan Saikhan (Three Beauties of Gobi) National Park, which is massive rocky mountain in Gobi desert. The mountain gorge named after bearded vulture which is called Yol in Mongolian. The valley is elevated 2800 meters above sea level and covers area of 64 square meter. It is very wide at the entrance and it narrows gradually into a remarkable gorge to around 8 km. It used to be called “Ice valley” as the bottom part of the river remained nearly all year long covered by a thick layer of ice in the past years, however, nowadays, the ice field tends to disappear due to global warming. We will walk through the valley along the stream with green meadows.

    Khongor Sand Dunes

    After breakfast we will drive 180km, heading to the boundaries of the Gobi Gurvan Saikhan (Three Beauties of the Gobi) National Park. In the afternoon we will arrive at Khongoriin Els sand dunes. The marvelous dunes that stretch 180 km long and 7-20 km wide. As the sound of the wind howling through the dunes can be heard when it’s windy, 200 m high, 20 km wide and 180 km long dunes called as “Singing Dunes”. With an oasis called Khongor river with stunning greenery in the summer, the area offers some spectacular views of the desert. After lunch, you can have camel riding for an hour or more and in the evening, we climb up to the highest sand mountain to see the incredible sunset in the Gobi.

    Bayanzag (Flaming Cliffs)

    After breakfast we will drive 150km to Bayanzag / Flamming Cliffs (means “rich in saxaul shrubs”), known as the Flaming Cliffs for its spectacular ochre-red colors. It was given this name by American paleontologist Roy Chapman Andrews, who made discoveries of the first ever known dinosaur fossil eggs in the world in 1920s. We will go hiking and discover the area. We will have some scenic photo opportunities.

    Baga Gazriin Chuluu (Rock Formation)

    We will drive about 480km north to Baga Gazariin Chuluu, the beautiful granite rock formation, located in the middle of the dusty plain. The highest peak is 1750 m above the sea level. It is spread out from west to east covering about 30 km. This rock mountain contains ruins of Buddhist meditation temple that belonged 17th century. You can enjoy hiking through the rock formations.

    Chinggis Khan Statue - Ulaanbaatar

    Chinggis Khan Statue Complex

    From the Baga Gazryn Chuluu Mountain we drive to Chinggis Khaan Statue Complex for around 4 hours. Then we spend around 1 hour at the statue to explore the complex and watch the museum inside the complex that has exhibitions relating to the Bronze Age and Xiongnu archaeological cultures in Mongolia. The complex is dedicated to Mongolian legendary emperor - Chinggis Khaan and 40m high and well known as the tallest equestrian stainless steel statue in the world. After visiting the complex, we drive around 50km back to Ulaanbaatar.
