What to expect
Art has not only been an essential part of Rwandan history, but it remains a vibrant part of modern life. With our Rwandan Art & Cultural Tour, you’ll dive right in and create your own traditional Imigongo art masterpiece, visit galleries that show the up-and-coming artists as well as the established painters, and artisans in their workshops.
You will start your tour with visits to local art galleries. You will have the chance to meet with the contemporary artists of Kigali, have the option to engage with local artisans in a crafting workshop, appreciate public art and have the option to enjoy traditional dance and drumming (with advanced notice) with a stop for refreshments at a local cafe. Optional add-ons: traditional banana wine or traditional dancing workshop at additional cost by reservation in advance
