Following your English speaking cycling guide, you'll discover two scenic valleys located north of Chiang Mai: Mae Taeng and Chiang Dao. Both valleys offer their own attractions such as caves, waterfalls, temples, as well as scenic views of paddy fields, various plantations, and mountains. As a guided trip, you only need to do what you'll enjoy the most, riding your bike. The rest is taken care of by your friendly local English speaking tour guide.
To avoid the commuting to Chiang Mai, you'll spend two nights in a comfortable boutique hotel located in the countryside, as a base, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

    Day 1

    Cycling exploration of the Mae Taeng valley

    Arriving at base camp. Bike fitting. We set off for a 15km loop in the valley to explore local culture and sights to discover. Lunch then a second cycling loop, more challenging, will explore the valley deeper.

    We ride trails and small roads in the area surrounding the scenic Mae Ngat Dam, part of the Sri Lanna National Park.

    Cycle unused trails through rice fields, eventually ending at the stunning Wat Ban Den. Take some times to stroll the Temple ground. Then either we cycle or transfer back to the hotel for overnight.

    Cycling and explore the Chiang Dao valley

    Vehicle transfer (40 min) to Chiang Dao, for today's exploration. We set off on undulating small paved road and off road trails trough plantations and forest.

    Brief stop at the hot spring and the nearby Karen village.

    Eventually reach the Chiang Dao caves and Buddhist sanctuary, where we will have lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, take some times to visit the cave (main section), or go deeper with a local guide and lamp if you wish (decide on the spot). Then we continue our riding discovering the scenic valley.

    Cycle via the local market where we can take a break. Then ride on the other side of the valley, eventually reaching a plateau with rice fields or various plantations depending on the season. End our cycling and meet with our vehicle, for a transfer back to Mae Taeng and our hotel. (40 min transfer).

  • Day 3

    Cycle the Mae Taeng valley and waterfalls

    This morning we explore a new route, with an off road section ending to a small Temple. Then you'll have the option to ride (with up hill section) or vehicle transfer to the Buatong Waterfall. This waterfall is well known by tourists an is a must see in the region.

    We end the cycling at the waterfall for relaxation. There is a short nature hike loop leading to the bottom of the fall. After relaxation, we transfer back by vehicle to Chiang Mai.

    After fun time at the waterfall, we transfer back to the city (1 hour) and drop off at your hotel.
