What to expect
Pomerode is the city that has the largest number of ENXAIMEL houses outside Europe. The Enxaimel Route has about 60 houses of this type. Some have fallen by IPHAN. One of them is the Siewert house of 1868 that was registered by the IPHAN and reformed obeying the established criteria. The family still lives in the house and receives the tourist telling the history of the construction of the house and the life of the residents since immigration. In addition to this, we passed around 10 other houses in a panoramic way (including the oldest), hunting and shooting clubs, cemeteries and churches. During the route one counts on the German society that emigrated in 1860 and the period of the 2. war until the present days.
