Step away from the famous viewpoints and explore a quieter side of São Miguel on this full-day eco-friendly van tour. Designed for travelers who enjoy nature and lesser-known places, Hidden Gems reveals landscapes many visitors never discover.
Traveling comfortably in an electric van, the day combines scenic viewpoints, short walks, waterfalls, and coastal landscapes at a relaxed pace.
The morning begins with a short trail to a dramatic coastal lookout with volcanic cliffs and wide ocean views. From there, we visit two very different waterfalls: one hidden in a narrow coastal canyon and another further inland, surrounded by lush vegetation and old stone structures.
After a traditional buffet lunch at a local restaurant, the afternoon continues in one of São Miguel’s native forests, where you’ll learn about endemic plants.
The day finishes at a peaceful seaside garden overlooking the Atlantic.
