Explore western São Miguel on a relaxed small-group van tour, combining volcanic viewpoints, coastal scenery, and iconic crater lakes.

Depart from Ponta Delgada and travel up the Sete Cidades mountain range, stopping at Pico do Carvão for wide views over the island. Continue to Lagoa do Canário, a quiet crater lake, followed by a short walk to the famous Boca do Inferno viewpoint with panoramic views over the Sete Cidades caldera. Stop at Vista do Rei and Cerrado das Freiras for different perspectives over the twin lakes.

Enjoy a traditional buffet lunch at a local restaurant, including a main dish, drink, dessert, and coffee.

In the afternoon, follow the west coast with a stop at Miradouro do Escalvado, then visit the coastal village of Mosteiros to admire lava rock formations and natural pools. Continue along the north coast with scenic viewpoints, passing through Rabo de Peixe and Ribeira Grande, before finishing at Lagoa do Fogo, one of São Miguel’s most beautiful crater lakes.
