Our tour itinerary is designed to provide an immersive cultural experience through a homestay with a local family where you will have the opportunity to share a meal and spend time with them, gaining an understanding of their daily lifestyle. We pride ourselves on organizing excursions and trips for small, intimate groups, fostering genuine connections with local people and providing a deeper understanding of the cultural, social, and environmental issues of the region.
An additional fee will be applied for the pick-up service if the location is more than 5 kilometers outside of Marrakech.
Upon departing from your accomodation, we will embark on a journey across the grand Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we will have the opportunity to witness the charming berber villages situated along the route. We will then make a stop at Tizi N 'Tichka, where you will be able to take in the breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Once we traverse the majestic High Atlas Mountains, we will arrive at the fortified and stunning Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site that has served as a backdrop for many popular movies. A local guide will accompany us on a visit to the Kasbah, and afterward, we will have the option to enjoy a delicious lunch there or in the nearby city of Ouarzazate.
As we continue our journey, we will traverse the "Road of a Thousand Kasbahs" and the picturesque Valley of Roses. The highlight of the day will be spending the night in a traditional guesthouse, where you will be hosted by local Berbers in the beautiful Dades Gorge (Valley). This will give you an opportunity to truly immerse yourself in the local culture and experience the warmth of Berber hospitality
Following a delicious breakfast, we will set out on the road to Todgha Gorges, passing through a variety of villages along the way. Our guide in Tinghir will meet us and escort us on a stroll through the lush palm groves. Afterwards, we will embark on a walk at Todra Gorges, where we will be awestruck by the grandeur of this natural wonder, a famous destination for rock climbing enthusiasts. We will also have the opportunity to observe the traditional nomad families who still reside in the mountain tops, coming down to collect water
Next, we will proceed on our tour and make our way to Erg Chebbi, the grand Sahara Desert. We will pass through various Berber villages, including Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud, the gateway to the Saharan oasis of Tafilalet. After a brief stop in Merzouga, you will embark on a camel ride, traversing the vast dunes of Merzouga for over an hour to witness the spectacular sunset. The night will be spent in a traditional Berber camp, nestled under the stars, with the soothing sounds of drums and Berber singing. This will be an opportunity to connect with nomads and gain insight into their way of life, while also learning a few Berber songs.
We will make our return journey, traversing the Atlas Mountains and arriving back in the vibrant city of Marrakech by evening.
