Day 1

You will be picked from your Hotel by a representative of Diani Travels and Tours who will drive you through along Mombasa-Nairobi highway to Lumo Community Wildlife Sanctuary. Upon arrival in the late afternoon, you will check-in at the Lions Bluff Lodge for lunch. Enjoy an afternoon game drives in Lumo Wildlife Sanctuary. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the Lions Bluff Lodge.

A uniquely specialised activity, which is usually not permitted within the boundaries of the national parks and reserves, a night game drive is the ultimate safari luxury. Leaving the lodge either before or after dinner, you will be provided with warm ‘shukas’ (Maasai wraps); before setting off to discover the creatures of the night. This is the exclusive domain of hunters such as lions and leopards, and the only time when you may catch a glimpse of such elusive nocturnal creatures as aardvark and Lumo’s melanistic serval cat. Your vehicle will also be equipped with a powerful hand-held lamp, which can be used to sweep the bush for sightings. Children over 5 years of age are welcome and really enjoy this exciting glimpse of what happens when they are usually in bed.

Day 2

Lions Bluff offers optimum game-driving experiences with 4 of the big 5 (no Rhino) and a wide variety of the plains game from the giants of Tsavo the “Red Elephant” to the small Dik Dik antelope. Game drives usually start with a cup of tea at sunrise returning for a late Breakfast and again after afternoon tea at 4pm returning as the sun sets near Kilimanjaro. You can also choose to have sundowners in the Sanctuary at one of several stunning view points.

To really appreciate all the Lions Bluff has to offer, you have to leave the safari vehicle behind; and take a walk. Slow in pace, wide-ranging in scenery, led by one of our trained safari guides, our guided walks are designed to offer a fascinating insight into the world of African trees, flowers, insects, reptiles, birds and animals. Tickle up a baboon spider, or ant lion, learn the art of tracking and how to tell which animals were there before you, learn how to light a fire without the use of matches, fire an arrow using arrows poisoned with desert rose sap, which roots to use when you have diarrhoea… our guides’ knowledge is amazing and their enthusiasm infectious.

Enjoy a morning game drive and after breakfast continue on an en route safari, as you depart back to the hotel , where you will arrive in the afternoon. Lunch can be arranged en route. You will be dropped off in either Nairobi ,Mombasa ,Daini or any other destination of your choice.
