What to expect
Engage in a traditional 'temazcal' ceremony, led by a knowledgeable Mayan shaman. Enter the 'house of heat' and participate in the ancient healing ritual designed to cleanse and purify both body and soul. Learn about the symbols, elements, and plants, including the use of copal tree resin, used in this powerful tradition.
Following the invigorating temazcal session, take a short walk to the nearby sacred cenote. Cool off and refresh in the crystal-clear waters.
Head to the dining area where local women will demonstrate the art of tortilla-making.
