Morning pickup from 7:15–7:30 AM at hotels in Hanoi Old Quarter or meeting point at 20 Hang Muoi Street. Travel about 1.5 hours to Quang Phu Cau Incense Village to begin your Hanoi city and culture tour.
Visit Quang Phu Cau Incense Village to see local artisans making and drying colorful incense, perfect for photography. In case of rain, the tour will be replaced by Bat Trang Pottery Village with a hands-on pottery workshop experience.
Before 11:30 AM, arrive at Train Street to watch and photograph the passing train, one of Hanoi’s most iconic experiences. Enjoy lunch nearby before ending the tour (half-day guests will be dropped off at their hotel).
Afternoon pickup from 12:00–12:15 PM at hotels in Hanoi Old Quarter or meeting point. Visit Hoa Lo Prison (Hanoi Hilton), a historic site showcasing Vietnam’s wartime history.
Continue to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university built in the 10th century. Explore its historic courtyards, Khue Van Pavilion, and stone steles honoring scholars of traditional Confucian education.
Visit Ba Dinh Square and the exterior of the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, where President Ho Chi Minh declared Vietnam’s independence on September 2, 1945.
Continue to West Lake to visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, Hanoi’s oldest pagoda built in 528, to learn about Buddhism in Vietnam. End the tour with a famous egg coffee experience before drop-off at your hotel around 5:30 PM.
