Lao Chai Village is located approximately 7 km southeast of Sapa town center, peacefully nestled in the heart of Muong Hoa Valley. Surrounded by the stunning Hoang Lien Son Mountain Range and expansive terraced rice fields, the village offers visitors a truly authentic and picturesque view of rural life in northern Vietnam.
In the late afternoon, continue your trekking journey to Ta Van Village, home to the Tay ethnic minority. This scenic 9km trek takes around 3.5 hours, offering peaceful views of terraced fields and local life. At around 17:45, check in to your local family homestay and experience the rustic lifestyle of the Tay people. As the sun sets over the mountains, relax, explore a nearby local bar, or connect with fellow travelers before spending the night at the cozy homestay — a true Sapa cultural experience.

At 8:45 AM, continue your trek through scenic rice paddies, perfect for capturing stunning photos of the lush mountain landscapes. After passing through a peaceful bamboo forest, you’ll reach Giang Ta Chai Village, home to the Red Dzao ethnic minority. This portion of the trek covers about 4 kilometers and takes roughly 2 hours. At around 11:00 AM, cross the Giang Ta Chai Bridge to reach the main road, where your driver will be waiting to transfer you back to Sapa Town, marking the end of your unforgettable local experience.
