Experience Geirangerfjord from the water on this unforgettable kayak tour. Paddle through one of Norway’s most spectacular fjords, surrounded by towering mountains, steep cliffs, and lush green slopes.
Departing from the activity center below the Grande Fjord Hotel in Geiranger, the tour begins with a short safety briefing and paddling introduction. Once on the water, follow your experienced local guide toward the famous waterfalls The Seven Sisters and The Suitor, where powerful streams cascade dramatically down the mountainsides.
Along the way, your guide shares engaging stories and facts about the fjord, its history, and local traditions. Several stops are included for rest, photos, and taking in the breathtaking scenery.
No previous kayaking experience is required, but participants should be in good physical condition. A shorter kayak tour is also available for those seeking a lighter experience.
Important: This tour departs from Geiranger only and cannot be joined from Ålesund.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
There is a free shuttle service from Geiranger to Grande Fjord Hotel where the trip takes place. The transfer MUST be prebooked. Meeting time for the shuttle is 20 minutes before the starting time of the trip outside Ørneveien 7, located to the left of the fire station. Our shuttle is a black mini bus marked with Grande Fjord Hotel
This is the meeting point for the tour, located around 30 minute walk from Geiranger sentrum. There is parking avalailbe if you arrive by car.
