Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of your tour, your guide will be holding a green Walks sign. This tour meets at Piazzale Flaminio, 15, 00196 Roma RM, in front of the McDonald's Restaurant on the corner of the square. The closest Metro stop is Flaminio - Metro Line A.

Arriving early, you’ll skip the long lines and meet a professional archaeologist who has spent years studying this fascinating site. As you walk through ancient streets, your guide will bring the city to life, explaining how its bustling shops, bathhouses, and villas were frozen in time by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. You’ll also see the famous plaster casts that offer a moving glimpse into the city’s final moments.

- Please note: In the low season (November through March), most of the businesses in Positano town close, making the town rather uneventful to visit. During this time, we will visit Sorrento instead, where you'll have plenty of options for lunch and shopping.
