The first place to start with is the old Medina in which you will discover its narrow streets and see magic wherever you look, the magic it derives from its many historical monuments, including Al-Attarine Madrasa, Ennajarine Fountain, Al-Qarawiyyine university, the oldest university in the world founded in 859, Bou Inania Madrasa and the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss. Your exploratory trip in the old Medina comes to an end after breakfast in a restaurant. Before you return to your accommodation, visit ‘Fes Al-jdid’, the new city.     The area of Merzouga is a full of touristic places: The first spot to visit is Khamlia, the hometown of the dark-skinned ethnic group who will welcome you with a cup of tea while enjoying their traditional music. Next, go for a visit to the desert Lake where you will see several species of birds. Drive over that plain towards Rissani and Tafilalte, from where the Alaouite dynasty descends. There are fortified villages and souks. Drive back to hotel in the afternoon in order to go trekking on camels over the sand dunes. Watch sunset before you come to a desert camp in the heart of the desert. Enjoy the spectacles, quietness, the sight of campfire and the sound of Berber music played by some local guys.
