This 50-minute Panorama Sightseeing Tour showcases Montréal from the St. Lawrence River. Cruise past the Victoria Bridge, the Biosphere and the St-Lambert Locks before stopping at the Lachine Rapids, one of the largest rapids in North America. This powerful stretch of river was encountered by early explorers such as Samuel de Champlain, who named it Sault Saint-Louis and recognized its importance long before canals existed. We are the only company that brings guests this close to the rapids, where you can also spot river wildlife such as herons, cormorants and other waterbirds in their natural habitat..
We are located in the Old Port of Montreal. Once you are there, look for the marina at the base of the of the Clock Tower. Then, look for the colored boats in the marina. We will be waiting for you, just say your name when you arrive.
This is where we are located. You are asked to arrive 20 minutes in advance to sign in and get ready to embark on the boat.
Our first stop is right out of the marina. Learn about the historical significance of the Clock Tower, a tribute to the sailors who fought in World War 1 and World War 2.
Sail under the colossal Jacques-Cartier bridge.
As we zoom past around St-Helen's Island, you will see Montreal's 6 flags amusement parc. You can also, from a distance, see the Olympic stadium.
Our next stop is between two islands. On your right, the American pavilion during Expo 67 and on the left, Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
The Victoria bridge is a can't miss sight. Built from 1854 to 1859, it has a tremendous role in the history of the city.
The Champlain bridge has to be the highlight of the trip. One of the largest construction infrastructure projects in North America. Sail between the massive pilars.
Admire the beautiful city skyline on the way back with the last stop being Habitat 67, an architectural masterpiece.
During the tour, you’ll pause near the Lachine Rapids, one of the largest and most powerful rapids in North America. This stretch of the St. Lawrence River has shaped Montréal’s history for centuries. It was a vital passageway for First Nations long before European arrival, and later for great French explorers — sailing these same waters once navigated by Samuel de Champlain. Today, the rapids are also a rich natural habitat. Keep an eye out for seabirds, herons, cormorants, and birds of prey that hunt along the river, as well as fish species drawn to the fast-moving currents. With dramatic scenery, deep history, and thriving wildlife, this stop offers a rare and memorable perspective on Montréal’s river heritage.
