1Poas Volcano
After being picked up by your professional biologist guide in our private 4x4 transportation, we will drive about 2 hours on a scenic road that leads to the National Park. Once we get there, the weather gets cold, the sun shines, and the smell of sulfur would give us the welcome to one of the largest craters in the world and one of the most active volcanos in CR. We will enjoy the view when the volcano gets clear and immerse in the dwarf vegetation that leads to the extinct crater which now hosts life, admire this particular forest and the lush, verdant surroundings through biologist eyes.

Hand-pick coffee beans and experience traditional artisanal coffee! We’ll visit a small, local artisanal coffee plantation, where you’ll have the chance to hand-pick coffee beans, learn about the traditional production process, and taste coffee made from your own harvest. This experience offers a genuine look into the most traditional way of producing coffee.
