Duration: 9 to 11 hours (approximately)

    We will start the day by checking in at Las Pailas Ranger Station (Santa María Ranger Station can be combined on another tour). We will hike Las Pailas Trail which is a loop of 2 miles that showcases a variety of ecosystems and unique geological features. The goal of the walk is to discover the intricate biome that inhabits the skirts of the Guanacaste Volcanic Range while experiencing the volcano's high-activity mud pools, fumaroles, and other signs of volcanic behavior.

    Break, snacks, and start of 15-minute walk to Oropendola Waterfall

    We will walk down through a deep canon for about 10 minutes through several steps and a hanging bridge, to finally reach a platform where we will climb down to the waterfall pool.
