Next, embark on a scenic drive through the picturesque Sete Cidades volcano, enjoying breathtaking views of São Miguel’s lush landscapes on your way to the Vista do Rei viewpoint. At the iconic Sete Cidades viewpoint, you’ll be amazed by the dramatic contrast between the Blue and Green Lakes, nestled within a dormant volcanic crater — a truly mesmerizing view and perfect photo opportunity.
We will then make a stop in the village center of Sete Cidades, allowing time to visit the Neo-Gothic São Nicolau Church and experience the charm of this historic community.
Before returning to Ponta Delgada, the tour includes a stop at the Miradouro do Escalvado, offering spectacular views over the Ilhéus dos Mosteiros and the village of Mosteiros, beautifully situated on a lava-fan coastline.
