In addition, you can observe the majestic Andean condors in their natural habitat, something that few activities guarantee with such close proximity. The day includes gastronomic moments that connect with local culture: a country breakfast overlooking the Andes and delicious homemade empanadas in the refuge. All in small groups, with personalized attention from a local guide and in direct contact with nature. It is a complete, authentic and unlike any other experience in Cajon del Maipo.

Pickup details:

You send us your address, and we will look for you directly to your hotel or accommodation in the city of Santiago de Chile, as long as you are in the pickup range. The guide will write to you the day before to coordinate your pickup.
If you come from further afield like the airport, we can talk to pick you up at a more central meeting point.

What to expect

Experience a unique experience in the Maipo Cajon combining horseback riding, trekking, local cuisine and condor watching. We will pick you up at your accommodation in Santiago early in the morning and leave for the Colorado River Valley, where you will enjoy a country breakfast in our glamping mountain view. Then, a local muleteer will lead us on a ride to the middle of the trail leading to the Mirador de Condores. From there, we will continue on foot on a trek to the top, where you can marvel at the flight of these majestic birds in their natural habitat. Back to the refuge, you will taste some authentic Chilean empanadas before descending again on horseback. During the tour you will learn about the life of the muleteers (Chilean Gauchos), the flora and fauna of the area and the importance of the condor in Andean culture. In total we will travel about 10 km, of which 6 are on horseback and 4 on foot. A complete experience that blends nature, adventure and local traditions in one unforgettable day.
