After a 15-minute free kayak lesson, lead by a local guide / tour instructor, you can paddle your way through the calm and crystal clear waters of the lake that allows you to explore the natural beauty of the surrounding vibrant wildlife and greenery.

The tour allows you to enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of the lake where you can sight exotic birds, enjoy a sunset depending on the time of day you choose the activity, glimpse the Dodanduwa Harbour and enjoy a sea bath if time and weather permits. What to expect

Hikkaduwa is known for its beautiful beaches, water sports and coral reefs making it a much visited location in the southern coastal belt of Sri Lanka. However, there are lesser-known attractions in Hikkaduwa that are slowly gaining momentum along with the beach side activities including kayaking in inland waterways. The Rathgama Lake is a natural waterway that is located inland bordering lush greenery and calm surroundings with kayaking being a favoured activity. The area is known for bird watching activities too.
