What to expect

We begin the tour from Hiriketiya, where you are picked up in an air-conditioned vehicle with the services of an English-speaking chauffeur. We then travel inland through the peaceful countryside towards the Udawalawe National Park, which is known for its dense population of Sri Lankan elephants.

You arrive at the Udawalawe National Park and embark on an unforgettable safari adventure led by a well-versed tracker. Other than the massive herds of Sri Lankan elephants grazing in their natural habitat, you will witness water buffalo, crocodiles, deer, and a plethora of bird species. The open grassland landscape provides you with excellent visibility of the wildlife, ideal for photographers and naturalists.

Once the safari ends, we continue our journey towards Ella, driving through highlands comprising waterfalls, rivers, tea plantations, rocky outcrops, and forest-covered hills. Your journey ends when we drop you off at your hotel in Ella.
