Functional or structural abnormalities can cause different types of Cardio Vascular diseases such as coronary heart diseases including MI & angina, chest pain, valve defects in heart, congenital heart diseases, heart muscle diseases and uncontrolled hypertension.In Ayurveda Samhitas there are five types of Hruda Roga (Cardiac Diseases) that have been specified; Vataja, Pittaja, Kapahaja, Sannipataja & Krimija. Vataja Hruda Rogas can be correlated with angina, Kaphaja Hruda Roga is similar to congenital heart disease and valve defects, Pittaja Hruda Rogas is similar to MI and Krimija can be considered as Carditis.
