Start your day with convenient minibus pickup from your hotel, villa, or apartment in Phuket. We will email you the exact pickup time at least one day before the tour. Upon arrival at the pier, meet your guide, complete the check-in process, and receive a color-coded wristband for your tour group. Before boarding, your guide will provide a safety briefing.
Your journey begins at Ao Po Pier, where you will board a spacious big boat and cruise toward Phang Nga Bay National Marine Park. Once on board, enjoy complimentary tea, coffee, cookies, and light snacks as you relax and take in the scenery. Phang Nga Bay is famous for its dramatic limestone cliffs, emerald-green waters, and spectacular panoramic views, considered among the most impressive in Asia.
After departing from Phuket, the boat will head to Panak Island, known for its towering limestone cliffs, hidden caves, and dramatic natural scenery. Here, you will enjoy an included canoeing experience with a professional local paddler. Sit back and relax as your canoe guide navigates through narrow caves, impressive rock formations, and hidden lagoons inside the island. The exact route depends on the tide and sea conditions.
The next stop will be Hong Island. In ancient times, it served as a refuge for local fishermen, who were sheltering in the local lagoon from rain, waves, and all kinds of bad weather. Nowadays tourists canoe around the island, which you will enjoy. The boat will stop near the island, you will change to rubber canoes and go on a short journey through the caves and grottoes of Hong Island. This is a great opportunity to take a closer look at the rocks, stalactites, stalagmites and enjoy untouched nature.
Next, you will visit the tour’s main highlight: the famous James Bond Islands, featured in the 1974 film The Man with the Golden Gun. As the big boat approaches the islands, you will transfer to a traditional Thai long-tail boat for the final journey to James Bond Island. The attraction consists of two islands. The larger island, Khao Phing Kan, means “hills leaning against each other” and is known for its distinctive sloping limestone cliffs. Just offshore stands Ko Tapu, whose name means “nail island.” This striking 20-metre-high limestone formation is narrow at the base and wider at the top, giving it the appearance of a giant upside-down bottle.
After visiting James Bond Island, you will return to the big boat, where a Thai buffet lunch will be served on board. Enjoy a selection of dishes with an all-you-can-eat buffet while relaxing and taking in the scenery of Phang Nga Bay. During lunch, the boat may cruise slowly through the bay or remain anchored, depending on the route, weather, and sea conditions.
The next stop is for swimming directly from the boat. Depending on the day’s route and sea conditions, the swimming stop may be near Naka Island or Lawa Island. You can swim, relax in the water, or use the paddleboard available on board. Guests may also jump into the water from the designated area of the boat, following the crew’s safety instructions.
After returning to the pier, your minibus will be waiting to transfer you back to your hotel, villa, or apartment in Phuket, bringing your day trip to a comfortable end.
