I'm a professional truffle hunter from 3 generations in Alba. My grandfather after the 2nd world war was one of the first truffle hunters in Alba, he taught my father all the secrets about the precious "ipogean fungus" then my father taught it to me. I'm a dog trainer & actually I've got 3 great dogs: Isi, Palli & Lisa. I would like to teach "some' 'of my truffle hunting secrets to travelers. During the tour you will be helped by my friend Margherita. She's an official tourist guide with great passion for truffles and local traditions to translate every part of the hunting.

The guide waits you outside cemetery main entrance. You can follow the guide car with your car. The meeting point can be change.
What to expect
After the search you can enjoy a wine tasting in a typical family-run winery where you will taste different wines including the renowned Barolo, accompanied by small samples of typical and local products such as salami or cheese and breadsticks.
White truffle season: from 1st of Oct. to 31st of Jan.-black truffle: different types at different times of the year. Truffles found during the search are not included but can be purchased from Trifolao. During the autumn season, warm and comfortable clothing is recommended, rain coats and rubber boots are available. A car it's necessary to move between Alba, the woods and the winery. Transfer can be provided on request. Meeting point can be change.
