Your private English-speaking driver will meet you to your hotel in the morning for pick up with a comfortable, luxury vehicle. You will head to the south, arriving mid-morning at the UNESCO World Heritage site of Pompeii, located below the towering Mt. Vesuvius.
Still active today, Vesuvius has erupted many times over the centuries, with the most important eruption occurring in 79AD, burying the entire town of Pompeii under stones and ash and preserving it intact.
Your local guide will take you to the most important spots it the archeological park.
We recommend comfortable walking shoes as the site has uneven, ancient roads, and appropriate clothing for the weather.
Your driver will then take you to a local typical restaurant where you can enjoy some of the local specialties (lunch is not included in the price)
After lunch departure for Rome.
