If you are staying in Rome and wish to make the most of your morning in Rome before leaving for the Port of Civitavecchia, we offer our guests a half-day Pre-Cruise Private Rome tour followed by a transfer to Civitavecchia.
Your tour begins at 8:00 AM with your pick up at your hotel accommodation in Rome. At approximately 12:00 PM you will depart for Civitavecchia with a 1:30 PM estimated arrival at your ship.
There is no need to worry about your luggage as your luggage will travel safely with you, and upon arriving in Civitavecchia, you and your luggage will be conveniently delivered right on the pier next to your ship for quick and easy embarkation.

PLEASE NOTE Your driver is NOT a licensed tour guide.
This is as Tour By Car with only an English Speaking Driver (it does NOT include Tour Guides or Walking Tours).
To comply with italian strict laws, drivers are obliged to remain with the vehicle while guests sightsee on their own away from the vehicle.

Enjoy a stroll along the cobbled square a gaze at the imposing monument surrounded by other vestiges of Ancient Roman architecture such as the Arch of Constantine.

    Climb the 18th-century stairs to reach the French Church of Trinità dei Monti or hang out on the steps for some people-watch as the locals do. An exquisite feature of the piazza at the foot of the stairs is the Fountain of the "Bracaccia" which, despite its name "old an ugly boat" is a beautiful fountain designed by Bernini's father.

After it will be time for lunch before heading to your ship in Civitavecchia.

    One of the oldest and best-preserved ancient monuments built in 126 AD, it’s been in continuous use throughout history and converted into the church dedicated to Saint Mary and the Martyrs in the 7th century. Some of history’s most distinguished figures are buried here: Kings Vittorio Emanuele II, Umberto I, Queen Margherita, and the celebrated artist Raphael. The oculus in the center of the coffered dome above provides light and ventilation, and when it rains the water drains below the floor through a drainage system.
