    Puerto Natales

We will depart from your lodging in Puerto Natales and head to Villa Cerro Castillo, the capital of the Torres del Payne commune, located 59 kilometers to the north. The drive to this point takes approximately 45 minutes—the perfect amount of time to chat and take in the diverse landscapes, which feature abundant Magellanic forest, glacial valleys, mountain ranges, and lakes along the roadside. The itinerary continues to the Lago Sarmiento overlook, our first photo stop with a view of the Paine Mountain Range. From here, weather permitting, you’ll be able to enjoy your first panoramic view of the entire Torres del Paine mountain range, the southern extension of the Andes Mountains, and the majestic Lago Sarmiento. After this stop, we’ll head to a site of great significance, offering one of the most breathtaking views of the granite towers. We’ll return to the vehicle to continue the tour, exiting Torres del Paine National Park via the southern section. Our final stop before leaving Torres del Paine will be at the most impressive spot along Route Y-290, known as Mirador Grey. From here, you’ll be able to see the mountains that dominate the western part of the province, the immense Lake Toro, and a section of the Grey Glacier. After an hour’s drive, we’ll arrive at the highlight of the day: a visit to the Cueva del Milodón Natural Monument. This protected area is the second most visited site in the Magallanes region, after Torres del Paine National Park. Our guide will provide detailed information about this site, which is of great significance due to the ongoing archaeological and paleontological research conducted there.
