Begin with a ride on the Roosevelt Island Tramway and enjoy spectacular aerial views of the East River, Queensboro Bridge and Manhattan skyline. Explore Roosevelt Island and visit the historic Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms Park.
Then, travel by ferry to Brooklyn and discover DUMBO, where you can capture the famous Manhattan Bridge photo and admire the waterfront. Continue to Hoboken, New Jersey, for some of the best panoramic views of Manhattan across the Hudson River.
Tram and ferry tickets, air-conditioned transportation and return to Manhattan are included. An ideal experience for first-time visitors, photography lovers and travelers who want to discover New York beyond the traditional attractions.
Cafetería Matto Espresso, 1105 2nd Ave (2nd Ave & E 58th St), New York, NY 10022, EE. UU.
We’ll meet at the Matto Espresso café. From there, we’ll head to the cable car station, which is the mode of transportation to Roosevelt Island—well known for its appearance in the movie “Spider-Man.” The cost of the cable car ride is included in the tour price. Once we arrive on the island, we’ll begin our tour toward the southern part of the island, where we’ll find the island’s only hotel, the Graduate Roosevelt Island, located on the Cornell University campus. This hotel has one of the best terraces in New York, with incredible views of the Queensboro Bridge and the eastern part of Manhattan.
We continued on to the ruins of the Smallpox Hospital, a facility that opened in 1856 to ensure the quarantine of smallpox patients and was later converted into a nursing school. The scene between the Green Goblin and Spider-Man in the Spider-Man movie was filmed in this building.
Right here, we'll visit Franklin D. Roosevelt Park, also known as Four Freedoms Park, where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Chrysler Building and the Empire State Building. On the eastern side of the island, looking toward Queens, you can take photos of the Pepsi sign located in Gantry State Park.
We’ll take the ferry from Roosevelt Island to the Navy Yard station in Brooklyn, where we’ll be able to enjoy a panoramic view of eastern Manhattan (the Chrysler Building, the Empire State Building, the United Nations Building, the World Trade Center, etc.). Once there, we’ll board a bus or van to continue on to DUMBO. On this tour, you’ll pass under the Manhattan and Williamsburg bridges while taking in the Manhattan skyline, featuring the city’s most iconic skyscrapers. In DUMBO, we’ll walk along one of the main streets, Washington Street. There, you’ll have the chance to take one of the most iconic photos of the Manhattan Bridge. We’ll continue along Main Street to the River Café so you can enjoy another panoramic view of the island, where our transportation will be waiting to take us on to New Jersey.
To end this tour on a high note, we’ll take a walk through Hoboken, a small town known for being the site of the first baseball game ever played. In addition to its architecture, you’ll stroll down Washington Street, where you’ll find a wide variety of restaurants and the famous Carlo’s Bakery; the Hoboken Ferry Terminal, which still retains that special charm of the past with its Beaux-Arts architecture; and finally, we’ll visit Sinatra Park, one of the most popular parks thanks to its small gardens and excellent views of New York City. The tour ends here, where the guide will show you where the subway station is that will take you back to Manhattan. You can use your Metrocard for the return trip on the subway, which will drop you off at 33rd Street and 6th Avenue (Avenida de las Américas). The PATH ticket is NOT included in the tour price. We’ve chosen this option because Hoboken is a place where you can relax and enjoy a carefree stroll along the banks of the Hudson River.
