In Tripoli you will explore a commanding Crusader citadel, two magnificent Mamluk mosques, a wonderfully authentic medieval souk, a traditional soap factory, and the legendary Hallab 1881 pastry institution. In Byblos — continuously inhabited for over 7,000 years — a Crusader castle, a stone-paved ancient souk, and one of the most beautiful fishing ports in Lebanon await. 1Citadel Saint Gilles (Qal'at Sinjil)
Citadel of Raymond de Saint-Gilles — wonderful views over Tripoli Begin at the impressive 12th-century Crusader citadel — one of the best-preserved medieval fortresses in Lebanon. Climb to the ramparts for a wonderful panoramic view over Tripoli's rooftops, minarets, and port beyond. Your driver brings the fascinating story of the Crusaders, Mamluks, and Ottomans who all called this citadel home to life in a warm and engaging way.

Then a brief and delightful stop at one of Tripoli's traditional olive oil soap factories — a centuries-old craft that is a charming and uniquely Lebanese experience.

6Byblos Castle
Byblos Castle & archaeological site — 7,000 years of history Arrive in Byblos — one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities on earth — and explore its remarkable archaeological site, where 7,000 years of human history unfold in a single beautiful walk. The 12th-century Crusader castle was built from recycled Phoenician and Roman stones — civilisations literally layered upon each other in the walls. Inside: Neolithic foundations from 5000 BC, Bronze Age temples, Phoenician royal tombs, and Roman streets. Byblos gave the world its alphabet — and its name gave us the word Bible. 7Old Souk
Byblos Old Souk & fishing port — a perfect finale End the day beautifully in Byblos's charming old souk — stone-paved lanes with jewellery workshops, antique dealers, and welcoming cafés — before wandering down to the ancient fishing harbour where colourful wooden boats bob in the water against a backdrop of medieval walls and the sparkling Mediterranean.
