This is Lebanon's most spectacular seasonal day tour — and one of the most rewarding journeys you can make in the entire country. Available only from May to October, this small-group guided tour takes you from a cliff-face monastery in the Qadisha Valley, up through the ancient Cedars of God at 2,000 metres, and over a breathtaking mountain road that opens each May to bring you down into the Bekaa Valley and the greatest Roman temples on earth at Baalbek.
Begin at the Monastery of Kozhaya — carved into the limestone cliff face of the Qadisha Valley & home to the first printing press ever used in the Middle East. Walk among thousand-year-old cedar trees on an easy one-hour guided hike. Cross the mountain pass via one of the most scenic drives in Lebanon. Stand inside Baalbek — a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the Temple of Bacchus is larger than the Parthenon. Lunch in Baalbek is fully included.
