  The agavero landscape in Jalisco, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2006, is a setting of singular natural and cultural beauty that captures the essence of tequila, an iconic beverage of Mexico. This landscape, located mainly between the municipalities of Tequila, Amatitán, Arenal and El Valle de Tequila, encompasses vast expanses of blue agave fields, whose symmetrical patterns in shades of blue-green contrast with the mountains and the sky. Landscape features: Blue agave fields: Blue Weber var. tequilana agave plants are organized in perfectly aligned rows, creating a unique visual effect. These plants are the raw material for the production of tequila. Volcanic environment: Tequila volcano is a dominant presence on the horizon, and its mineral-rich volcanic soil brings distinctive characteristics to the agave grown in the region. We will also explore its architecture and traditions, biodiversity, culture and traditions.
