Its intricate bas-reliefs and mystical atmosphere make it an unforgettable highlight of the tour.
Baphuon – The Mountain Temple: Continue to the impressive Baphuon Temple, a pyramid-shaped monument that was once known as the “Bronze Tower”. Built in the 11th century and originally dedicated to Shiva, Baphuon is one of the most important temple-mountains of the Angkor period. Its steep terraces and large scale offer excellent insights into early Khmer engineering and religious architecture.
Terrace of the Elephants – Royal Observation Platform: Stroll through the stunning Terrace of the Elephants, a 350-meter ceremonial platform used by King Jayavarman VII to witness royal parades and public celebrations. Ta Prohm – The Temple of the Jungle : Step into a cinematic scene at Ta Prohm, one of Angkor’s most iconic and atmospheric temples. Famous for appearing in Tomb Raider, this 12th century Buddhist monastery has been largely preserved in its natural state, with huge cotton silk and strangler trees intertwining with the stone ruins, creating an impressive “lost in the jungle” atmosphere.
Lunch (not included): Enjoy a Cambodian meal at a nearby restaurant recommended by your guide.
