Your driver or guide will meet you at the lobby of your downtown Beijing hotel at your preferred time. Hop aboard your air-conditioned vehicle—stocked with complimentary bottled water and snacks—and enjoy a comfortable 1.5-hour drive to the Mutianyu Great Wall.

Upon arrival, your driver will assist you with ticket purchases (cost at your own expense). You’ll have free rein to explore this restored, less-crowded Great Wall section at your own pace—opt for a scenic hike, a cable car ride up, or a thrilling toboggan slide down. Once your 2–2.5 hours of exploration end, your driver will be waiting at the parking lot to take you to Red Snail Temple (a 30-minute drive away).
After your self-guided tour of this iconic North China Buddhist temple, you’ll be transferred back to your Beijing hotel.

If you select the Transfer + Guide Package, your guide will accompany you throughout the day, walking with you to explore both the Great Wall and Red Snail Temple while sharing fascinating historical anecdotes and cultural context.
