Jinshanling Great Wall Day Trip: Transfer or Guided Service

We offer flexible tailored packages for your Jinshanling adventure, with two route options available — Jinshanling Great Wall Hiking Only or Jinshanling Great Wall + Simatai Section + Gubei Water Town — and you can add a professional guide service to either route for a more immersive experience.

Jinshanling Great Wall, a paradise for hikers and photographers, is a well-preserved, less-crowded section boasting authentic Ming-Dynasty architecture and stunning panoramic views.

For the Jinshanling-only route, your friendly driver will pick you up at your Beijing hotel lobby at the prearranged time and drive you directly to the Great Wall in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle (sedan for 1-3 people, minivan for 4-9 people, minibus for 10-15 people). The 2-hour ride lets you either nap peacefully or enjoy the scenic countryside views along the way. Upon arrival, the driver will guide you to the ticket office (tickets at your own expense) and wait for you while you embark on your hiking adventure at your own pace.

For the Jinshanling + Simatai + Gubei Water Town route, we recommend a noon departure — this timing lets you hike Jinshanling first, then head to the Simatai Section to catch the breathtaking sunset, before exploring the twinkling night views of Gubei Water Town.

If you opt for the add-on guide service, your knowledgeable companion will hike alongside you, sharing fascinating histories and anecdotes behind the Great Wall’s watchtowers and ramparts, help you snap perfect photos, and even assist with looking after your kids if needed.
