Have you ever been tubing on the "lazy river" at waterparks? How about through a massive natural gorge with rapids, and 72-foot high cliffs? That's what you're in for when you join this 2 day, once-in-a-lifetime group camping trip to Elora, Ontario.
Lake Fever is camping at its simplest. Guests will enjoy free transportation from Toronto, 3 square meals, and a good old fashioned campfire. Best of all, NO CAMPING EXPERIENCE OR EQUIPMENT NECESSARY (not even a sleeping bag). First-timers will all learn the basics of camping.
Be prepared to hike, swim in an abandoned limestone quarry, and tube the white water rapids of Elora Gorge. Best of all, campers gain access to the great Canadian wilderness, for a trip that would otherwise take a lot of planning and money to arrange.
9am - Meet At Loblaws Parking Lot - 2280 Dundas Street West Directions: Get off at Dundas West Subway station and walk south on Dundas West. In about a block, you’ll see an LCBO and Loblaws grocery store on the east side of the street. Look for the dark blue “Lake Fever” branded van in the lot.
A short walk through this quaint little town will reveal Elora Gorge Falls & the spectacular Elora Gorge Lookout.
Guests camp here for the evening, enjoying a camp-cooked meal, some bocce ball and a campfire
Guests will love sitting on the beach or taking a dip in this abandoned limestone quarry (there is also a clifftop hiking trail).
After a morning hike on Elora Gorge Trail (with a visit to Stone Bridge), the group will collect their equipment to tube down the Grand River through Elora Gorge (up to 3 times).
