Meeting and pickup
Free pick-up and drop-off only for customers living in hotels, guesthouses, or lodging places located in the central city of Chiang Mai and the surrounding areas of the Old City Wall in Chiang Mai Province including Chang Klan Road, Thapae Road, Wualai Road in zones of the Night Bazaar, Lam Yai Market (Kad Luang), and areas within 5km from the city area (Mueang District). If your hotel is outside the free pickup area, the designated meeting point is the Thapae Gate in Chiang Mai Old City. Your tour guide will be holding a "TripGuru" sign waiting for you. Exact pickup time depends on participants’ respective locations. The driver will contact you the evening before your activity date to confirm the exact time. IMPORTANT NOTICE Kindly be at your meeting point/hotel lobby (please ensure your accommodation is within our free pickup areas) at least 10 minutes before the stated meeting/pick up time. Our tour guides will only wait a maximum of 10 minutes for you before proceeding to the next stop. If you are headed to a meeting point, we would like to stress that heavy traffic in the mornings is expected, and can vary greatly when compared to the travel time stated in navigation apps (e.g. Google Maps, Waze, etc.). Please make sure to consider leaving with enough time to reach your destination. IMPORTANT: IF AVAILABLE, PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR HOTEL NAME AND ADDRESS BEFORE COMPLETING THE PAYMENT

In the morning, we’ll board our transport and head north towards Chiang Rai. Our first stop will be at Mae Khajan Hot Spring, Thailand’s largest geyser. After dipping our toes into the warm, natural mineral water, we’ll continue our journey to the White Temple.

Wat Rong Khun, or The White Temple, is not just mesmerizing on the outside. Once you enter the doors of this elaborate structure, you will see the painstaking attention to detail of Chalermchai Kositpipat, a globally recognized local artist and owner of this private art exhibit. His representation of Buddhist principles combined with modern pop culture shown on the inside is something you can only see for yourself – and must as photos are prohibited inside!

Next we’ll board our transport and stop for lunch before exploring the world famous Golden Triangle. The nickname was coined by the CIA in reference to this region, whose trading posts’ top product was opium. Join us as we dive deep into the wild history of this area and how it became one of the most notorious narcotrafficking spots in the world.
