You will meet you guide in front of the 7/11 convenience store at the corner of Osu Kannon Temple. Walk from Osu Kannon Station Exit 2 straight for 100 meters. The guide will be waiting with a "Nagoya is not boring" sign. Start times: 11:00 and 15:00 Confirm the time with us in advance
What to expect
Meet your guide at the iconic Osu Kannon Temple, where you’ll learn the difference between Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples.
Then it’s time to start eating. Begin with miso kushi katsu, skewered meat coated in Nagoya’s rich red miso sauce, one of the city’s signature flavors.
Next, enjoy another local favorite: gohei mochi, grilled rice on a stick brushed with savory miso sauce. You’ll also sample karaage fried chicken from one of Osu’s best-known shops, followed by tenmusu, rice balls filled with shrimp tempura, another beloved Nagoya specialty.
Osu is full of street food on every corner, from sweet to savory and from casual bites to more premium treats. With our guide leading the way, you’ll explore the area like a local and discover the best spots to make the most of your visit.
