Hawa Mahal is a palace in Jaipur, India. Made with the red and pink sandstone, the palace sits on the edge of the City Palace, Jaipur, and extends to the Zenana, or women's chambers. The structure was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, the grandson of Sawai Jai Singh, who was the founder of Jaipur.
Albert Hall Museum is a museum in Jaipur city in Rajasthan state of India. It is the oldest museum of the state and functions as the State museum of Rajasthan. The building is a fine example of Indo-Saracenic architecture. The building was designed by Sir Samuel Swinton Jacob and was opened as public museum in 1887.
Jantar Mantar is the largest of the five observatories built by Sawai Raja Jai Singh. Located in the city of Jaipur, Jantar Mantar draws its name from Sanskrit terms 'yantra' and 'mantra'. The former term means instrument while the latter means formulae. Built between the period of 1728-34, the Jantar Mantar is based on the astronomical studies conducted by Sawai Jai Singh and his men around the world. One of his men brought a manual which was a copy of La Hire's "Tables". Accordingly, Jai Singh ordered the construction of the observatories based on the information provided in this manual.
The “Abode Of Tigers” is what the name Nahargarh suggests. Built in the 17th century it was extended in the 18th century . The fort is located on the ridge of the Aravali hills giving a pristine view of the city. The magnificent view of the entire city is a pleasure to the eyes. . The not so maintained palaces give out the best backdrops. The fort has many structures within. There are two temples of which one is dedicated to Nahar Singh. A 12 storey building named Madhavendra Bhavan and Diwan-I-Aam which was the place where the kings heard out the grievances of the public. Nahargarh fort has a long history and it is also portraying it with various Bollywood films being shot here. Some of movies whose main location was Naharagarh were Jodha Akbar, Rang De Basanti, Shudh Desi Romance etc.
