The trail connects two sacred sites—Namobuddha Monastery and Tribeni Ghat in Panauti—offering a rare opportunity to experience both Buddhist and Hindu spiritual traditions in one journey. Along the way, hikers are treated to panoramic views of the Himalayas, peaceful pine forests, and vibrant terraced landscapes. Passing through traditional villages, the hike offers authentic encounters with rural Nepali life, far from tourist crowds at Panauti.
Namo Buddha is about 40km away from Kathmandu. It is in Kavre District in the southeast of the valley.
Once you reach Panauti Bus Park, turn right onto Kushadevi Road. Go straight. Within a walk for 10-15 minutes, you will find the Panauti Community Homestay office on your left-hand side.
