    Upon arrival, the community host extends a warm welcome, followed by a delightful lunch. Engage in a village excursion to experience genuine community life, complemented by a half-day hike through forests, farmlands, and open spaces in Nagarkot village. This hike unveils waterfalls and stunning hill and mountain views. In the evening, you'll have the opportunity to learn and cook local dishes for dinner alongside your hosts.

    Rice Plantation

    After breakfast, you will walk towards the field while listening to the tales of the festival from the locals. Change into your field get-up then observe a prayer to the gods 'puja done by an elder of the community for a good harvest. Learn how to plant the rice seedlings from the locals and follow their techniques. In between, you will be having Dahi-Chiura beaten rice with yogurt - a combination of meals that is consumed during this festival. Note: You are suggested to bring a spare cloth, as you shall be playing in the mud with locals in the field!
