    A day in the lives of farming community in Patlekhet

    Upon arrival at the Patlekhet community homestay, you will be warmly welcomed into one of the host's homes for Lunch. Afterwards, tour the village to observe the fruit trees, vegetables, and crops grown in the villager's vegetable garden and their evergreen fields. In the late afternoon, you can bond with local homemakers over leaf plate-making, learning to weave leaves into plates and bowls for daily life and sacred ceremonies. Afterwards, prepare for a hands-on experience in the garden, assisting with watering vegetables, tilling the soil, cutting weeds, or harvesting crops. Then, your host will invite you to their kitchen to prepare a traditional Nepali meal together, where you will learn the cooking process of some of their daily local dishes.

    Mithila Painting at Thimi, Departure

    The next day, you can leisurely spend time with your host, tending the animals in the shed and milking cows while waiting for breakfast. On the way back, participate in Mithila Painting, which originated in the Mithila region of Nepal; it is renowned for its vibrant colours and intricate designs. Take a beautifully decorated Mithila painting home as a personal memento of your creative and cultural experience.
