Head east from the Narayanhiti Palace Museum. Continue till you see Narayan Hiti Pond to your right and walk on till two blocks ahead. You will find the Community Homestay Network's signboard at the end of a street. Please enter the street and continue straight till you see our office to your left.
After breakfast, your family will be picked up from the hotel for a memorable journey into local culture. En route to Panauti, you'll stop in Thimi to enjoy a vibrant hands-on experience with traditional Mithila colors and savor a delicious lunch prepared by local artisans. Upon arrival in Panauti, you'll be warmly welcomed by women from the community. They will introduce you to your homestay host and provide a brief orientation. Later, enjoy a guided walk through the charming old town with your host, exploring village life and local traditions. The day concludes with a cozy dinner shared with your host family, offering an authentic taste of Nepali hospitality.
After breakfast, begin your scenic ride from the Panauti Bike Station toward one of Nepal’s oldest towns. Explore the historic charm of Panauti as you pass through its ancient market, visit the sacred Indreshwor Temple, and take in the serene beauty of Triveni Ghat and nearby farm fields. In the evening, enjoy a fun and interactive cultural experience as your hosts teach you how to dress like a local. Try on traditional attire, learn the significance behind each piece, and capture memorable photos to take home. Then, participate in a hands-on cooking class where you’ll learn to prepare a traditional Nepali meal. Your creation will be served as dinner, shared with your host family in a warm and welcoming setting.
