  If you’re lucky enough to book the 12pm morning tour, Francesco will take you to an incredible sight: the cannon shot at the top of Gianicolo Hill. The cannon shot is a daily tradition that dates back to the 19th century, when it was used to synchronize the city’s clocks. As you approach Gianicolo Hill, you can feel the excitement building. Francesco explains the history of the cannon shot and what it means to the city. When the time comes, you’ll hear the loud boom of the cannon and watch as the smoke clears to reveal a breathtaking view of Rome. From the top of Gianicolo Hill, you can see all of the city’s major landmarks, from the Colosseum to the Pantheon to St. Peter’s Basilica. The view is truly magnificent and you’ll feel like you’re on top of the world.

  Fontana dell'Acqua Paola

  Francesco will take you to one of the most breathtaking fountains in all of Rome: the Fontanone. Located at the top of the Janiculum, the Fontanone offers a panoramic view of the entire city. As you approach the Fontanone, the beauty of the view is breathtaking. You can see the winding Tiber River, the dome of the Pantheon, and the majestic Vittoriano in the distance. Francesco parks the red Vespa and you take a moment to soak in the view.
