You will visit several interesting Moroccan Berber historical sites, Todra Gorges, the most famous kasbahs and one of Ouarzazate’s film studios to photograph the film sets.

Translated from Berber Language to English as (The Pass of Tichka) It is located at the High Atlas Mountain range with an Altitude of (2260 m - 7414 ft) As a road it is considered the highest mountain pass in Morocco, or highest road point. It offers a stunning view over the north version with its Berber villages due to its location and height. We'll be stopping here to to take some panorama pictures in interested.
Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah or (Berber Citadel/Fortress) where we will stop for lunch and then a guided visit of the Kasbah afterwards. It is so unique as it had become a UNESCO world heritage site since 1987, which makes it the only Kasbah that it is still in its origins. Lots of American popular movies had been shot here, like The Gladiator, Asterix Obelix, Star Wars, Game of Thrones, The Jewel of the Nile, The last temptation of Christ and many more.
We will be driving across the beautiful city of roses, that is well known for the roses and Berber Daggers at first place, an optional stop is scheduled here perhaps to purchase the rosewater or other cosmetic roses products in case of interest.
This is where you'll stop for the first overnight before proceeding to Sahara desert next day. Located at the edge of a desert plateau, at the outlet of the upper Dadès Valley (more than 1500 m high), Boumalne Dades is originated from an old way of transhumance, controlled by several tribes in the past between summer pastures in the High Atlas and Saghro wintering ones. Most of its residents, like those of the Dades Valley, are berber people.
Once after your Breakfast at your Riad/Hotel, we will leave Dades valley and as soon as we do so we will drive across the beautiful city of Boumalne, Laos called Boumalne Dades being attached to the Dades valley, here a stop is also scheduled for panorama pictures and admire the valley.
After we leave Boumalne Dades heading for Merzouga city, but only after 40min we'll be crossing the city of Tinghir, also know as the city of a 1000 Kasbah, to get to the Moroccan famous canyons of Todra right afterwards.
These amazing Moroccan famous canyons of Todra Gorges we will stop for a walk to admire and take pictures, the altitude of the Gorges is about 300m (984 ft.), and if you are lucky you will meet some people doing mountaineering there, after a long walk in the heart of Todra Gorges, then an optional lunch is scheduled here just before we continue our way passing by the city of Alnif and Rissani.
Finally we get to the incredible sandy dunes of Merzouga Erg Chebbi Sahara desert for a camel ride in the heart of the dunes, dinner, music and overnight under the stars.
After leaving Merzouga city and after only 30min of drive we reach Rissani city which was a former major caravan center an optional stop is scheduled for visiting the Berber Market or visit a mineral fossils exposition and fabrication workshops where you would also be able to see how those fossils are made. As for these fossils, during the Paleozoic era - about 540 million to 250 million years ago - the southeast of Morocco lay under the sea, you may try some fresh camel's milk in this city if interested.
Agdz, also spelled Agdez, is located about 65 kilometers south of Ouarzazate, Agdz, which means in the Berber Language "resting place," is located along the old caravan route linking Marrakech to Timbuktu, and played an important role in the exchange of goods across the Sahara. It is also know for it's large amazing Palm Oasis.
Ouarzazate is a desert city at the gates of the Sahara. Its name means "without noise" in the Berber language, In this city many popular movies had been shot, such as the Gladiator, Star wars, Game of thrones, Kingdom of heaven, Mummy 1 & 2 and a lot more due to its geographical location and the cinema studios there. -Next day- you will start by visiting first the Labyrinth of Taourirt Kasbah. The latter is considered one of the most beautiful Kasbahs in the country.
After having a delicious breakfast at your Riad/Hotel get ready for a guided visit to the Kasbah of Taourirt, a real Berber Maze where you may easily get lost without a guide. Kasbah Taourirt is a historic fortified residence complex or kasbah. It was first built in the 17th century by the Imzwarn, a powerful local family. More certainly, however, the kasbah was taken over and expanded by the Glaoui family in the 19th century.
You may stop for an optional visit to the Atlas Corporation Studios if interested; First Film Studio located in North Africa, the site is spread over 20 hectares and offers all necessary services and equipment for productions: exterior and interior sets, production offices, workshops, stables with trained animals and accommodation in the Oscar Hotel. Perfect for business events or festive evenings, the studios is open daily for visitors that will discover Tibetan Temple, Egyptian palaces, Kasbahs and other unusual environments.
We will be crossing the Tichka road pass again in order to get back to Marrakech after enjoying an incredible journey into Morocco's great Sahara desert full of adventures, historical & cultural experiences.
